Marcelo Bielsa showed his incredible attention to detail when he gave a talk on the Poland national team ahead of this winter’s World Cup.

And earlier this week, Bielsa hosted a seminar at Legia Warsaw Stadium in Poland, where he reportedly presented his findings after compiling reports on 65 different Polish national team players.

To do this, the 67-year-old watched and analyzed his last 50 games, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post. That’s a significant number of hours, even by Bielsa’s standards.

The seminar, sponsored by the Polish Football Association and organized by STPN and Asystent Trenera, drew a large crowd, including Polish head coach Czesław Michniewicz.

Many people on social media reacted to Bielsa’s talk accordingly. A fan said: “So Bielsa gave a presentation on the Poland national team in the last day. It was reported that he watched their last 50 games and analyzed 65 players for his presentation. man is obsessed with football.”

Another commented: ‘Bielsa loves Mateusz Klich so much he’s watched Poland’s last 50 games to see why he wasn’t chosen for the World Cup’, while a third wrote: ‘This sounds like the kind of obsession Eddie Howe had with analysis and I would love to see him at Bournemouth.”

As mentioned earlier, Bielsa has recently been linked with the Bournemouth job. In fact, the Cherries are in advanced talks to appoint the former Marseille and Lazio boss as their new manager, according to Football Insider.

Graeme Souness, meanwhile, has warned Bournemouth fans to ‘be careful what you wish for’ as the rumors continue.

“He likes working with small teams and he makes players better. It’s a different way of playing football, is it fun? It certainly is,” he told talkSPORT.

“But it’s high risk stuff. Be careful what you wish for, Bielsa is a big name, Bielsa – at Leeds was his longest time as a manager at a football club. I think he spent four years in Chile, the rest of the time he doesn’t hang out much.

“Is he a good choice for Bournemouth? I’m not sure. He plays a brand of football that I can only describe as kamikaze.”
