Peren, April 19 (MExN): A meeting of the Peren District CHILDLINE Advisory Board (CAB) was held on April 18 at DC’s Conference Hall, Peren, chaired by SDO (C) Peren, Kemciyile.
According to the State DIPR, during the meeting, a short presentation was made by the Counselor, CHILDLINE Peren, Ganchuimei, highlighting his activities, intervention cases, advocacy issues, visibility and achievements of April 2021 to April 2022.
This was followed by a review of the status of agendas from previous CAB meetings as well as a discussion of current agendas.
Agendas included translation of the POCSO Act (2012) into local Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei and Kuki languages; conduct special campaigns against underage driving and regular checks near schools and urban areas; organize a one-day seminar on child rights and child protection with the community based organization and organize orientation and training for the village child protection committee in collaboration with DCPU.
SDO (C) Peren, Kemciyile instructed the CHILDLINE team to coordinate with departments and stakeholders to follow up on the agendas discussed and their implementation, DIPR added.
The meeting ended with a note of gratitude from Collab’s director, Akeina.
