Qatar – Philippine Engineers Forum holds meeting

Over 400 electrical engineers attended the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE) ’16th Annual Conference, Technical Seminar, and General Membership Meeting’, which was recently held in a hybrid format.
The conference was attended by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) – Chairman of the Electrical Engineering Council Francis V Mapile, PRC – Member of the Electrical Engineering Council Jaime V Mendoza, IIIE National President Allan Anthony P Alvarez, IIEI Foreign Region Governor Orlando T Villapana Jr, and IIEI Middle East Region Founding Governor Robert U Mabulay.

A special message was conveyed by Philippine Ambassador Alan L Timbayan, expressing the appreciation of the Philippine Embassy for the Chapter’s projects and enterprises not only for the benefit of Philippine electrical engineering practitioners in Qatar, but also for the whole Filipino community.
The event, led by outgoing Chapter President Rudilyn S Reyes and General President Lauren M Olivos (VP-Internal Affairs), drew hundreds of attendees among electrical engineers from Qatar, Middle East region and the Philippines, including electrical engineering students from various universities.
There were four technical seminar topics shared by Leo S Cabasag, former IIIE National President; Roderick R Pajes, chapter auditor; Kensley Armon F Manese, IECEP-Q 2021 Governor; and Sonny T Calma, President of PSME 2021.
The event was in line with IIEE’s 2021 theme “Got-1-IEEE, transcending the challenges of the new normal by embracing resilience and complementarity” by hosting hybrid conferences and seminars for the continuous acquisition of knowledge and skills during the Covid-19 pandemic.
